Little action this week in the upper echelon of the chart, but several big movers below. Lady Gaga’s “Gypsy” makes the biggest jump, up 41 to #27, followed by Elizabeth & The Catapult’s “Shoelaces” (up 29 to #46) and Stromae’s “Tous Les Mêmes” (up 24 to #22). Foster The People leads a set of fourteen debuts with “Coming Of Age” at #28; lower debuts include another track from Beyoncé’s self-titled album and two tracks apiece from Switchfoot and Katy Perry.

The top ten is mostly the same, with Christina Perri grabbing another week at #1 with “Human.” The new Neon Trees single “Sleeping With A Friend” enters at #29, taking the lead among nine debuts. Stromae’s “Tous Les Mêmes” is the greatest gainer, moving 23 positions to #46; Great Good Fine OK’s “You’re The One For Me” falls the furthest, down 56 to #100.
These are one hundred songs that stayed in my heavy rotation throughout 2013. In a year that saw personal advancements including eight weeks studying abroad in France and graduation from college, these songs soundtracked my year, each song appealing to me through instrumentation, lyrics, or just its overall mood. While Lissie holds at #1, Emeli Sandé jumps from #15 to #3 with “My Kind Of Love,” from Our Version Of Events. Stromae moves into the top ten with “Papaoutai,” as do Drake and Majid Jordan with “Hold On, We’re Going Home.” The biggest debut comes from The Civil Wars, whose “Eavesdrop” enters at #22, a few positions behind their 57-15 jump for “Sacred Heart.”
