A quieter week in the upper reaches in the chart, with the contents of the top ten the same and the only notable change being Michelle Branch’s “Loud Music” returning to the top five over Adele’s former chart-topper “Rolling In The Deep.” Daughtry scores the top two debuts with “Crawling Back To You” and “Drown In You.”
Michelle Branch
Michelle Branch moves into the top three with “Loud Music” in her second week on the chart. Coldplay jumps to #8 with “Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall,” while Jason Aldean’s collaboration with Kelly Clarkson, “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” jumps 23-12. Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera score the highest debut with “Moves Like Jagger” at #13, followed by David Cook’s This Loud Morning track “Paper Heart” at #19.
Lady Gaga and The Script swap spots in the top five, but the most interesting news in the top ten is at its bottom: Michelle Branch debuts new single “Loud Music” at #9, while Katy Perry moves to #10 with “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).”
Though Adele still has a firm grasp on the top two, The Band Perry jumps to #3 with “If I Die Young” as P!nk is unseated all the way down to #9. Just below, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals vault 33-10 with “Paris (Ooh La La),” followed by two debuts: “Alligator Sky” by Owl City featuring Shawn Chrystopher and “Long Goodbye” by Michelle Branch featuring Dwight Yoakam.
