The top ten is mostly the same, with Christina Perri grabbing another week at #1 with “Human.” The new Neon Trees single “Sleeping With A Friend” enters at #29, taking the lead among nine debuts. Stromae’s “Tous Les Mêmes” is the greatest gainer, moving 23 positions to #46; Great Good Fine OK’s “You’re The One For Me” falls the furthest, down 56 to #100.
The chart returns for the first time since September and Christina Perri’s “Human” at the top. Tracks from Karmin, Peter Thomas featuring Betty Who, John Legend, and Céline Dion & Ne-Yo filling out the rest of the top five, with previous #1 “Further Away (Romance Police)” by Lissie at #11.
These are one hundred songs that stayed in my heavy rotation throughout 2013. In a year that saw personal advancements including eight weeks studying abroad in France and graduation from college, these songs soundtracked my year, each song appealing to me through instrumentation, lyrics, or just its overall mood. Owl City and Shawn Chrystopher move into the top five with “Alligator Sky.” Christina Perri and Matt Nathanson each move sixteen spots upward into the #14 and #15 slots with “Arms” and “Faster,” respectively. Owl City also claims the highest debut with “Lonely Lullaby” at #30.
The top three is steady, with P!nk and a rebounding Sara Bareilles bringing up the rear of the top five and Lissie just behind. OneRepublic’s “Secrets” re-enters the top ten. Lifehouse album cut “Best Of Me (What’s Left Of Me)” and Christina Perri’s debut single “Jar Of Hearts” are the highest debuts at #28 and #29.
